Saucon Valley presents “Hello Dolly”

It has been a long time since I have worked for the newspaper, almost 10 years. But I missed it. I miss the fast paced journalism world I had started my career in. I miss the tight deadlines. I miss the feelings of only getting one shot to make it perfect, of capturing the people, the event, the scene as it unfolds. So, I decided to take an assignment that would be fun - Freddy coverage for LehighValleyLive.com.

I had heard how amazing the students were in the local theater world, but for living in the valley for almost 5 years I had never seen a show. Their dress rehearsal was like a professional play. I was blown away. Everything from the singing and acting to stage design was absolutely amazing.

With the stop of all activities due to the Covid-19 I am so glad these students got to at least perform their play. I know the entire valley is bummed about not having the Freddy’s show, which each year has showcased local performers and support staff for high school productions in the Lehigh Valley and Warren County. But I had heard they were still going to get their scholarships - which is so great. These kids deserve it!
